The City of Kettering is located in Montgomery County, Ohio. Conveniently located to I-75 and 675 south of Dayton. This is the largest suburb in the Dayton Metro Area with a population of over 56,000 as of the 2010 Census. The area was settled in the late 1700’s used largely as farmland. From the 1950’s to 1970’s the population continued to grown by more than 30,000 residents.

The 40,000 square foot Skate Plaza skateboard park opened in 2005 and was a collaboration between the city of Kettering the world renowned, Rob Dyrdrek, a professional skateboarder who grew up in Kettering.
A former elementary school is now the Rosewood Arts Center which hosts over 100,000 visitors a year to take art classes, host exhibitions and an art galary.
Shopping and Dining
There are vast array of shopping venues in Kettering. A local favorite is the Town & Country Shopping Mall. It is partially inside and outside and boast many national retail shops as well as many local shops. Trader Joe’s, Stein Mart and 2nd & Charles are local favorites.
DiSalvo’s Deli was voted #1 restaurant of 56 in Kettering through Trip Advisor and the Hawthorn Grill was a close 2nd. First Watch, a national chain based out of Sarasota, Florida also has a location here for local to enjoy a delicious breakfast or brunch. Christopher’s is also noted as a great place to dine for lunch.
